Affected people of Vishnugad-Pipalkoti project have been sitting in dharna for the last few days. The photo of people sitting on dharna for their demands can be seen above. Their main demands are that the tunnelling has led to drying of their water resources. They are being provided by tap water but this comes once in 3-4 days and is also not clean. The ancient Laxmi Narayan Temple of the village is also being damaged by the debris of the project. THDC has not made a bridge which makes it difficult for them to reach their villages. The villagers of Haat village have been supposedly displaced voluntarily while actually there has been no voluntary agreement. To settle these problems the people are sitting on dharna.
