Swami Shantidharmananda is a scholar-saint who has been involved in the quest for spiritual knowledge for years. An engineer by qualification, he got initiated into Sanyasa (Hindu monastic order) from the great yogic master of modern times H.H. Paramahansa Swami Satyananda Saraswati (Disciple of Swami Shivananda Saraswati, Divine Life Society, Rishikesh) of Bihar School of Yoga, Munger, Bihar, India in 1982. From 1990, he has been relentlessly imparting spiritual education to the spiritual aspirants in his Ashrama located on the banks of the river Ganga and in the backdrop of the majestic picturesque Himalayan.
Dr Bharat Jhunjhunwala
Dr. Jhunjhunwala is an economist, environmentalist and author of several books. He acquired his Bachelors Degree in Science from Kanpur University and Doctoral Degree in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 1973. He has been a faculty member at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He writes a weekly column on political economy which is published in about 20 papers in ten languages in India. He was awarded the Nachiketa Award by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2002 for outstanding contribution to economic journalism. He has initiated many cases in court relating to the construction of dams on the rivers. He has argued personally in many cases before the Supreme Court, National Green Tribunal and High Court of Uttarakhand.
Vimal Bhai
Vimal is a Gandhian, environmentalist working on river preservation mainly in Ganga basin. He has initiated several litigations in National Green Tribunal, High Court and Supreme Court. He is the convener of Matu Jan Sangathan and National Alliance of People’s Movement. He is also an artist and poet.
Debadityo Sinha
Debadityo is an ecologist and policy researcher based in New Delhi. He has completed his Masters in Environmental Science & Technology from Banaras Hindu University in 2012 and Bachelors in Zoology Hons from the University of Delhi in 2009. He is the convener of Vindhya Bachao Abhiyan which works for ecology protection in Vindhya range and Gangetic plains. He has initiated several litigations before the National Green Tribunal for environment conservation.
